BDWE BLAQ $COIN$ – “From Rations to Riches’ Economic Empowerment Mini Workshops is a newly designed, unique program for our First Nations Sistas to learn tips, advice and receive guidance and support on how they can improve their overall Financial Health & Wellbeing. These mini workshops will be held on a monthly basis at different locations throughout Brisbane. BDWE plans to also create online workshops for our Loyal Members who live outside of the South East Queensland Region. The ‘GANI YIRRA’ Women Weekend Retreats is BDWE’s Annual Signature Event held on Nywaigi Country, North Queensland.
‘GANI YIRRA’ means North Seed in the local Nywaigi Aboriginal Language. The concept behind this event is that GANI YIRRA means to plant the seed in the minds of each of every Sista that joins us at this Retreat to help nurture and grow that seed into something sustainable leaving a positive impact on each of their lives, so they can go onto live better, healthier and happier lives. And ‘North’ being that this event is held in North Queensland on Nywaigi Country.
It will usually be held late September – early October every year or the last week of the September School Holidays over 2.5 days. Members will be updated so keep posted via social media @blaqdiamonds2018.
