BLAQ $COIN$ – Economic Empowerment & Financial Wellness Program

The program provides a culturally safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment where women can strengthen their financial knowledge, confidence and practical skills.
Key topics include:
  • Budgeting, saving and everyday money management
  • Banking, credit and debt
  • Superannuation and taxation
  • Financial goal-setting and planning
  • Financial safety and recognising financial abuse
  • Employment, education and training pathways
  • Business, self-employment and additional income opportunities
  • Development of a personalised BLAQ $COIN$ Next Steps Action Plan

The program is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women aged 18+ who live, work, study or have strong family or community connections within the Brisbane Local Government Area.
There are only 25 participant places available, and participants are expected to commit to attending all three workshop days.
